Suzhou IND2025 Forum: What we saw, heard and thought

From February 20 to 21,2025, the “IND2025 Infectious Disease Diagnosis Technology and Testing Automation Construction Forum” held in Suzhou attracted many industry elites. As an enterprise focusing on molecular diagnostics and biotechnology research and development, Shanghai Lingjun Biotechnology Co., Ltd. dispatched a team to visit the site to visit and learn, deeply experience the latest developments in the industry.

1. Review of the conference highlights

The forum focused on pathogen detection technology, automation equipment and POCT (just-in-time inspection) fields, demonstrating a number of cutting-edge technologies. For example, the application of mNGS (metagenomic secondary sequencing) in complex infectious diseases attracts much attention; nanopore sequencing shows great potential for its rapid, high-throughput characteristics. In addition, the automated sample processing systems launched by many enterprises have significantly improved the laboratory efficiency and reduced human errors. At the same time, the deep integration of industry, university and research has become a hot topic, and experts discussed the collaboration between pathogen targeted sequencing and metagenomic sequencing, and how to promote technological progress through interdisciplinary cooperation.

2. What we saw, heard and was inspired

Through communication with participating experts and peers, we recognize the diversity of diagnostic needs for infectious diseases. Primary care institutions prefer easy-to-operate POCT devices, while large hospitals rely on automated equipment and high-throughput sequencing technologies. Public health emergencies require flexible and efficient solutions. This provides a clear direction for our product design —— for both the technology advancement and practical application scenarios.

Automation and intelligence are the general trend of industry development. Pathogen identification system and automated platform based on AI algorithms can not only improve the detection efficiency, but also reduce labor costs. At the same time, the concept of win-win cooperation runs through the forum. We reached a preliminary cooperation intention with a university team to jointly develop new microfluidic chip technology.

3. Thinking and outlook for the future

This forum made us realize the importance of mastering the core technologies. The company will increase investment in research and development, especially in the field of nanomaterials, molecular diagnostic reagents and automation equipment to break through key technical bottlenecks. At the same time, we will expand international cooperation, introduce advanced technology and management experience, and promote our own products to the international market. In addition, actively participate in the industry standardization construction, to ensure that the product quality is always in the leading level.

Although the two-day forum has ended, it has brought profound thinking and inspiration. Shanghai Lingjun Biotechnology Co., Ltd. will continue to adhere to the innovation-driven concept, deepen technology research and development, and contribute to the global prevention and control of infectious diseases. We believe that in the future, the diagnosis of infectious diseases will be more accurate, efficient and convenient.
